Robert Kiyosaki Offers 'Rich Dad' Advice To His Readers

Robert Kiyosaki is a world-renowned author of financial self help books that have sold in the millions of copies and dominated the best seller lists. He spreads the message that most people are never taught how to become rich, that parents and schools don't provide the knowledge needed to accumulate and grow wealth.

Robert Kiyosaki teaches that acquiring a solid financial IQ is the first step to becoming rich, and once someone understands how money works, if they apply that knowledge, then poverty can be avoided.

He further teaches the middle class is disappearing and with the uncertainty of the economy, and volatility of the stock market, it is more important than ever to learn how to manage money responsibly.

The Background

Robert Kiyosaki was born on April 8, 1947 in Hawaii. His father was an educator who lived on a salary, and is the one referred to as the 'poor dad' in Kiyosaki's books. As an employee and highly educated, his father was limited by his salary and often complained of not having enough money. The 'rich dad' was the father of one of Robert Kiyosaki's friends. This dad was a school drop-out, but a business owner. Although he wasn't wealthy, he was able to afford the things he wanted. The contrast between these two dads caught Kiyosaki's imagination and taught him to not give up on his dreams or close his mind to achieving financial freedom.

Robert Kiyosaki went on to serve in the military during the Vietnam War and then became a copy machine salesman after his discharge. In 1977, Kiyosaki launched his first start-up company. Over the years he tried various business ventures and invested in real estate. By the time he was 47, he had become wealthy enough to retire. His retirement was short lived however. After a few years, he began his Cashflow Technologies company that went on to become a huge success with the Cashflow and Rich Dad brands that made Robert Kiyosaki a household name.

More and more books are also becoming available as ebooks and audibles.
